Question Paper VI


1. In a school there are fewer than 500 students. The 1/3 are the whole numbers. The 1/4th and the 1/7th are the whole numbers. Find the total number of students in the school.


2. The boy goes to school reaches railway station at his 1/3 of his journey& mill at 1/4 of his journey the time taken him to walk between railway station & mill is 5 mins Also he reaches railway station at 7.35am. When he started from house& when he reaches school?


3. A lady goes for shopping. She bought some shoestrings. 4 times the number of shoestrings, she bought pins and 8 times, handkerchiefs. She paid each item with their count as each piece’s cost. She totally spent Rs. 3.24. How many handkerchiefs did she buy?


4. If ravi binded his book and the binder cut the pages of the book , ravidecided to mark the pages by himself own , what he found that number of threeappears 61 times find of number of pages


5. One side of the measuring arm was longer than the other side .If 3 pyramid width was placed in longer side it is equal to 2 cube width in the shorter arm. If 8-pyramid width was placed in longer arm then it is equal to 6-cube width. Let 1 pyramid width is equal to 10kg.What is the weight of cube width?plz tell the ans with approach.


6. In a tree there are some no. of fruits,person from south direction came and ate half in the total amount and took one .person from north direction came and ate half in the total amount and took one .person from east direction came and ate half in the total amount and took one .person from west direction came and ate half in the total amount and took one . Further still one friut is left in that tree,then what could be total no of fruits in that tree?


7. A contribution of Rs. 500 was raisedfrom 500 people. The fee was as follows: Men: Rs.3.00 eachWomen: Rs. 2.00 eachChildern: 0.48 eachIf number of women is more than number of men, how many childern are there?


8. when my uncle in madura died he left a will instructing his executors to divide his estate or rs1920000 in this mannner.. every son shud receive 3times as much as a daughter n that every daugher should get twice as much as their mother..now wats my aunt's share?plz with detailed approach...shakuntala devi 25 no question


9. A man was on his way to a marriage in a car with a constant speed. After 2 hours one of the tier is punctured and it took 10 minutes to replace it. After that they traveled with a speed of 30 miles/hr and reached the marriage 30 minutes late to the scheduled time. The driver told that they would be late by 15 minutes only if the 10 minutes was not waste. Find the distance between the two towns? Ans. is 120 bt could somebody plz tell the approach


10. Two people X & Y walk on the wall of a go down in opposite direction. They meet at a point on one side and then go ahead. X after walking for some time, walks in opposite direction for 15 mtrs. Then again he turns back and walks in the original direction. What distance did Y walk before they met again, if X walks 11 mtrs by the time Y walks 8 mtrs.plz someone give the solution for this question
